Class levels are dependent on folding ability. If you are new to folding, please consider taking one of our Family Fun classes, designed for beginners.
These are formal classes so please be prepared to stay for the full two-hour class.
Family Fun classes are for ages 5+. Children between 5–8 must have a parent or guardian with them.
All other classes are for ages 8+. Children between 8–13 must have a parent or guardian with them.
Morning classes run from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm. Please arrive by 10:15 am.

Ever wondered what the big deal is about modulars? Here’s the perfect opportunity to find out! Naomi will gently lead you into the wonderful world of modulars. Each unit consists of only a few simple folds which can then be assembled into something rather cool. She’ll start with the classic Sonobe Unit and will show you how to put them together to form a cube. The unit is very versatile and can be used in myriad ways. She’ll move on to a Fuse box with lid (as in Tomoko Fuse, not electrical junction). You’ll quickly become addicted to marvelous modulars.

Spring has arrived and it’s time to plant your butterfly garden. Celebrate the season with this beautiful butterfly and these festive flowers. John will teach you his original designs. The butterfly features legs, antenna and segmented wings. He will show you four and five-symmetry variations of the flowers and demonstrate how the method can be extended to other geometries. What a wonderful way to welcome the rejuvenating season.
Afternoon classes run from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm. Please arrive by 2:15 pm.
Teacher: Wendy Zeichner
Wendy will teach some great action models that will jump, twirl, flap and hop their way into your heart! This class is a great opportunity for families to explore the magic of origami together. No experience is necessary. For Family Fun (beginner) classes you must be at least 5 years old. Children between 5 and 8 must have a parent or guardian register and take the class with them. Adults not accompanying children are also welcome!

Make peace and send a positive message in these uncertain times with this clever moneyfold and traditional crane. In 2024, the Nobel Peace Prize was awarded to the Nihon Hidankyo organization in Japan for its efforts to create a world free of nuclear weapons. In honor of this, Ginger will teach you to create a $Peace Dove by Bob Stack and the traditional crane known throughout the world as a symbol of peace. Play money can be used but you might want to bring a few crisp dollar bills to class for the dove.
Teacher: Alice Fornari
No squares allowed in this class! That's right, the units start with rectangles. A few folds later and you’ve got a hexagonal unit by Tomoko Fuse that can be used in ingenious ways. Alice will discuss the many polyhedral forms that can result based on how you put the units together. Students will choose from the many options to determine how to use their units to get a final form. Come to think about it, no cubes either.
