Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good (Charles) Knight!
During World War II the staff and administration here at the museum gathered gifts and goodies to be mailed to colleagues who were away for military or special war service. Each care package included a small cash gift and a selection of goodies from the museum. Staff were encouraged to write letters and include other mementos to be sent to those away from home.

Included in the 1943 care package was this card of the American Bald Eagle and the V for victory designed by artist Charles R. Knight, whose work you have likely seen around the museum.

Wishing everyone a safe and peaceful holiday season!
