Evolution of alternative metabolic strategies in metazoans; how photosynthesis is maintained; function in metazoan photosymbiosis; single-cell (sc) RNA-seq analyses to investigate molecular activity of kleptoplasty (symbiotic chloroplast sequestration) in marine gastropod mollusks (e.g., sacoglossan sea slugs).
