Professional Experience
Dr. Elaine Howes began her career as a high school Biology teacher before receiving her Ph.D. in Curriculum, Teaching and Educational Policy. Since then, she has held faculty positions at Teachers College (Columbia University) and the University of South Florida. Most recently, Dr. Howes was a specialist in science education at the non-profit Biological Science Curriculum Study (BSCS) in Colorado. Her research interests focus on supporting and learning from teachers working in high-need schools.
