Sarah coordinates and supervises the management of the Anthropology Collection, which comprises over half a million archaeological, biological, and ethnographic objects from around the world.

Research Interests

Sarah is an archaeologist specializing in Pleistocene-era material culture. She has done extensive fieldwork in southwest France, and has participated in projects in Canada, the United States, Egypt and South Africa. Her research interests include Upper Paleolithic 'art' and personal ornaments, sensory/experiential archaeology, epistemological implications of classificatory frameworks in archaeology, historical trajectories of legacy collections, and cultural heritage management in a museum context.
