On Sunday, May 17, 2009, at 1 pm, the mysterious underwater world of whales comes to life in a special event in the Milstein Hall of Ocean Life at the American Museum of Natural History, uniting poetry, projected images, a chamber music concert featuring a world premiere work by the celebrated American composer Ingram Marshall, and a lively discussion with the grandchildren of legendary marine explorer Jacques Cousteau. The Voice of the Whale Project is part of the Milstein Science Series: Sundays Under the Whale, a continuing program of free family-friendly events located in the Milstein Hall of Ocean Life.
