Class levels are dependent on folding ability. If you are new to folding, please consider taking one of our Family Fun classes, designed for beginners.
These are formal classes so please be prepared to stay for the full two-hour class.
Family Fun classes are for ages 5+. Children between 5–8 must have a parent or guardian with them.
All other classes are for ages 8+. Children between 8–13 must have a parent or guardian with them.
Morning classes run from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm. Please arrive by 10:15 am.
Level: Intermediate
Teacher: Juliette Moore
A piece of paper is a rose is a rose. This beautiful 3D Arbor Rose by Jason Schneider can make an elegant addition to your home or table. Juliette will take you through the steps to make colorful flowers to brighten your dreary winter. With such a pleasing folding sequence, you’ll be sure to have a cheery room full of blooms. It’s hard to fold just one.
Level: Intermediate
Teacher: Nobuko Okabe
T-rexes may prowl the halls of the Museum but you can take this one home! Nobuko will teach this fun dino designed by Pierre-Yve Gallard. The model is fairly straightforward, with clear reference points but requires precision. Practice makes perfect, so get those fingers moving. The trick is to get him to balance on his own, even with his baby arms. Grrrrrr!
Afternoon Classes
Afternoon classes run from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm. Please arrive by 2:15 pm.
Level: Simple
Teacher: Wendy Zeichner
Set the stage and perhaps the table with these simple holiday models. Wendy will teach a tree, a candy cane, a Santa, a dreidel and others as time permits. This class is a great opportunity for families to explore the magic of origami together. No experience is necessary. For Family Fun (beginner) classes, you must be at least 5 years old. Children between 5 and 8 must have a parent or guardian register and take the class with them. Adults not accompanying children are also welcome!

It’s never too early to get ready for Spring. Start folding now and you’ll have a house full of flowers by March.Tracy will show you how to fold and construct these marvelous creations. Raid your paper supply at home and find the perfect color combination for a magnificent bouquet. I have more than a dozen origami flowers and arrangements on my desk as I write this, so I’m ready for spring. Are you?

Channel your inner Hiccup and learn how to train your dragon. Taming a dragon can be a challenge but dragonmaster Leo will teach his original model which has a pop-up feature on top. Fight off those nasty menaces in the sky with your very own dragon.
