The Museum’s online collections database provides access to metadata for cataloged specimens (approximately 35% of the collection). In line with the Paleontological Resources Preservation Act, some collections data is not published online, including detailed locality data. Additional data may be available upon request for scientific and educational uses where appropriate.

How to Apply

Requests for collections data may be made by researchers actively affiliated with an academic or educational institution. Before applying, please review the terms and conditions in the Data Request Form.

Requests for collections data should be submitted by completing a Data Request Form and sending it by email to Museum Specialist Peter Daly ([email protected]) at least four weeks before the data are required. All requests are reviewed by the Curator-in-Charge and are subject to approval.
