To request high-resolution images from our Digital Collections or scans from the Museum Archives, please complete our Image Request Form.
Please note that you will need the asset ID number/image number to complete this form. If you do not have this information, please search Digital Collections or email [email protected] for help obtaining this information prior to submitting your request. For high-resolution scans of artifacts or specimens in the Museum’s science collections, please contact the appropriate Museum research department.
Museum staff and students may request a scan of an article or book chapter (not an entire book, journal, etc.) within copyright fair use limits using our Scan Request Form.
If you are not a Museum staff member or student, you may be able to request material through your local library if they have an Interlibrary Loan service. Consult your local library for details & instructions. If you are another library looking to request materials from our holdings, please submit your requests through WorldShare ILL. Please see Self-service Copy and Scanning if you would like to visit the Library to make your own scans of materials from the main stacks.
