2021-COVID-TSSS-2460x1384

Join us for a special session for educators with Jay Varma, M.D., an expert on public health and infectious diseases from Weill Cornell Medicine who helped lead New York City’s COVID-19 response.

As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to cause illness, death, and suffering across the country and the world, Dr. Varma, will discuss past pandemics such as the 1918 flu pandemic and explain the current state of the COVID-19 pandemic, vaccination and other tools to fight the pandemic, and what new variants, including Delta and Omicron, mean for the present and future. Addressing top concerns and misconceptions, Dr. Varma will also answer participants’ questions about all things COVID-19.

This is a free online event for Grades K–12 teachers. One hour of CTLE credit available.
