Trending: Darwin Children's Doodles

We are celebrating Darwin's 206th birthday by publishing, for the first time ever, the entire collection of drawings and stories by his young children. Darwin's children sometimes painted pictures and wrote stories on the back of his draft manuscripts and notes. However, most often the children simply used their father's writing paper—without his writing—to produce their artwork. We present the totality of 111 images, which includes 94 images produced by the children and 17 images with drafts or notes in Darwin's handwriting (see the featured Children's Drawings & Stories collection).
