Please be sure to complete steps 1–5 before starting your application.
Please note that we're not Paid-for-service facility and you or your designee is expected to work in the lab space.
Use our the Sample and Provenience Template to list your sample information prior to starting your application. You will need to upload your completed template to your application.
Review our Protocol Repository page as you will need to construct a plan that is as comprehensive as possible when completing your application request. Note that all files uploaded to this application must be no larger than 5 MB.
Review our Common Use Supplies and Equipment List pages to confirm the consumable materials that will need to be sent DIRECTLY to the abLab.
Consider the time-frame in which your research can be completed. To ensure that our lab is equitable to all users, we currently book 2-4 week time slots for lab work that includes BSL 2 training and abLab orientation.
Review your project materials (i.e. project title, abstract, your availability to work in the lab, etc.)
We currently do not support library preparation services for Next Generation Sequencing workflows in the abLab. For ancient DNA-specific library preparation, feel free to contact UC Santa Cruz and Daciel Arbor Biosciences.
