The Institute of Comparative Genomics is home to a number of researchers exploring the evolution of non-model organisms with modern genomic data. We prioritize education, offering both internal and external workshops on bioinformatics topics like genome assembly and annotation (in collaboration with the New York Genome Center), programming languages (R, Python), and high performance computing. We also maintain a significant on premises compute infrastructure open to the museum research community and a number of researchers affiliated with partner institutions.
