Paleoceanographer Michelle Guitard studies the interactions between Antarctic ice sheets and the surrounding ocean as climate changed over the past 2.5 million years.

In this SciCafe, she shares her research on “Iceberg Alley,” the stretch of ocean between South America and Antarctica that lies in the path of Antarctic iceberg outflow, and explores how this region can help us understand the past, present, and future of Antarctica as climate changes.
