Join us for the Museum’s 2017 Kwanzaa event, a celebration of African-American heritage that is rooted in seven principles known as Nguzo Saba, which promote unity, culture, and community development. Featuring gospel-infused tunes from the heavyweight champions of a cappella, The Persuasions, the flare and pageantry of the Brooklyn United Marching Band, and an electric performance by Vy Higginsen’s Sing Harlem Choir. Hosted by Dr. Linda H. Humes, scholar and storyteller

Kwanzaa 2017 is provided, in part, by the May and Samuel Rudin Family Foundation, Inc. and the family of Frederick H. Leonhardt.

Kwanzaa 2017 is co-presented by Community Works and New Heritage Theatre Group.

The Kwanzaa marketplace is organized by the Harlem Arts Alliance.
