Destructive Sampling

Destructive sampling requests should be submitted on institutional letterhead and, in the case of students, co-signed by an advisor.

Requests should address the following:

• objectives of the study
• justification for the dissection
• individual specimens to be dissected
• justification for use of AMNH specimens
• detail on the dissection procedure
• longterm effects on specimens
• competency in conducting the sampling
• competency in laboratory and analytical methods
