Tickets and Passes

Tickets Now on Sale

Tickets are not refundable.
Programs are subject to change. Please check our website for the most current schedule and updated information.
Tickets may be purchased in advance for any program on the festival schedule.  Each program is identified by a program code.  Please refer to the program code when purchasing tickets.

Ticket Prices

General Public: $12 ($10 Members, seniors, students)

Opening Night Film and Special Screenings: $15 ($13 Members, seniors, students)

Opening Night Film PLUS reception with the filmmakers: $45

Festival Passes

If purchasing a festival pass, we encourage you to do so early to avoid encountering sold-out screenings.

Student Pass* ($24)

  • Three films of your choice over the course of the festival
  • Passholder also gets access to free standby tickets on a first-come, first-served basis
  • All Mead events, dialogues, and parties (except the opening-night reception)

Film-Lover Pass* ($50, $45 for Members)

  • Five films of your choice over the course of the festival
  • Passholder also gets access to free standby tickets on a first-come, first-served basis
  • All Mead events, dialogues, and parties (except the opening-night reception) 

One-Day Pass* ($30, $27 for Members) (Valid on Saturday or Sunday only)

  • Three films of your choice that day 
  • Passholder also gets access to free standby tickets on a first-come, first-served basis
  • All Mead events, dialogues, and parties on that day

*Does not include Opening Night Film or Special Screenings

On-Site Purchase

Early September – October
Tickets may be purchased during Museum hours at the Advance Group Sales desk in the Theodore Roosevelt Rotunda (Central Park West at 79th Street entrance) and at the Rose Center for Earth and Space (81st Street entrance).

During the Festival

October 17–20
Tickets may be purchased one hour prior to show time at the 77th Street entrance only, between Central Park West and Columbus Avenue.

General Information

The entrance for all screenings is on West 77th Street between Central Park West and Columbus Avenue.

Getting Here

B train (weekdays only) or C train to 81st Street–Museum of Natural History, or the 1 train to 79th Street.
Bus: M79, M7, M11, M86, M10, M104 

Food and Drink at the Museum

Museum restaurants will be open throughout the festival during regular hours. Café on One will have extended hours to 10 pm on Friday and Saturday. Café on 4 will have extended hours to 10 pm on Sunday.

Café on One is located immediately left of the Grand Gallery on the way to the Kaufmann and Linder Theaters, on the first floor of the Museum.

Café on 4 is located on the fourth floor between the Wallach Orientation Center and the Milstein Hall of Advanced Mammals.
