Join us for a virtual talk with Laurel Kendall, senior curator in residence in the Museum’s Division of Anthropology.

In this discussion, Laurel Kendall offers an overview of how she became an anthropologist, her research on the world of Korean shamans, and how she has worked within and beyond Korea. She describes the work of participant observation and what is involved in writing and publishing her research. Time permitting, she will describe the making and the afterlife of an exhibit produced with colleagues in Vietnam, as well as discuss the challenges faced together during its development.

This event is free. One hour of CTLE credit is available.
