Celebrate our remarkable Earth with the 2025 edition of BigPicture: Natural World Photography, by the California Academy of Sciences.

Now in its 12th year, BigPicture presents a juried selection of photographs that capture our surprising and beautiful world, telling unexpected stories that open doors to curiosity.

48 images from 17 countries were selected from over 7,000 photographs to appear in categories including Aquatic Life, Winged Life, Human/Nature, Terrestrial Wildlife, Landscapes, Waterscapes and Flora, Art of Nature, and Photo Story.
