Join us on Friday, November 21, for an in-person special evening for educators celebrating our newly launched space show, Encounters in the Milky Way.

The evening will feature a reception with drinks and snacks, followed by a talk from Curator Dr. Jackie Faherty.

After the talk, teachers will get a front-row seat to spectacular moments in our solar system's past and future, including the paths of stars, comets, interstellar debris, and visually stunning gas and dust clouds–and, visualized for the first time, a dramatic, ongoing merger of our galaxy with a smaller satellite galaxy.

This exclusive event is an opportunity to network with fellow educators and learn how to use the space show on school trips with your students.

Agenda

4–5 pm: Sign in and Reception
5–6 pm: Curator talk
6–7 pm: Space show screening

This event is free. One hour of CTLE credit is available.
